Daigo Fuyuyoshi (醍醐冬香)
Fuyuyoshi DAIGO (January 7, 1752 - March 16, 1772) was a Kugyo (a Court noble) during the middle of the Edo period. He served three emperors: Emperor Momozono (116th), Emperor Gosakuramachi (117th), and Emperor Gomomozono (118th), however, because he died early, he did not get promoted higher than Shosanmi Gon Chunagon (Senior Third Rank, provisional vice councilor of state). His father was udaijin (minister of the right) Tsunetane DAIGO. His younger brother was Gon Dainagon (a provisional chief councilor of state) Teruhisa DAIGO.
He was conferred a peerage in 1758. After that, he was successively promoted and became Palace staff, Sakone gon no shosho (Provisional Minor Captain of the Left Division of Inner Palace Guards) as well as Sakone gon no chujo (Provisional Middle Captain of the Left Division of Inner Palace Guards), and in 1764, he was received Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank), position which ranked with Kugyo (the top court officials). He was appointed as Gon Chunagon in 1767, and served in this position until he died in 1772. He died at the age of 22.
